The next chapter in rethinking how advertising works for African businesses. Midiarack has secured `$25,000 in funding through the Ashesi Venture Incubator (AVI) Cohort 7, marking an important milestone in our journey to make advertising more accessible, transparent, and efficient for businesses across Africa.
We started Midiarack with a simple belief: finding and booking advertising should not be unnecessarily complicated. Businesses should be able to discover their options, compare opportunities, and make informed decisions about where to invest their marketing budgets. We are building a better way to make that possible.
Midiarack is a digital advertising marketplace that helps businesses discover, compare, and book advertising opportunities across multiple media channels, including billboards, radio, podcasts, and more.
By bringing these opportunities into one place, we are working to simplify media discovery, improve transparency, and help media owners connect their inventory with businesses looking to reach the right audiences.
Since launching, Midiarack has facilitated over GHS 1 million in gross merchandise value (GMV), demonstrating early demand for a more streamlined way to discover and transact advertising inventory.
For us, this is proof of a problem worth solving — and a market worth building for.
"We started Midiarack because we believed there had to be a better way for businesses to access advertising. Crossing GHS 1 million in GMV has shown us that the opportunity is real, but we are still early in the journey. Our focus now is on building the capabilities, systems, and infrastructure to make advertising easier to access and more transparent for businesses across Africa.” — Kwabena B. Sarpong, Founder and Managing Director, Midiarack
Behind every platform is a team turning an idea into something people can use. Midiarack’s platform is central to our ambition to simplify advertising, bringing media opportunities together in one place and making discovery and booking easier for businesses. A key part of bringing that vision to life has been the work of our lead engineer, Esther Gasu, an Ashesi alumna, whose technical contribution has helped build the platform that powers Midiarack.
Her work reflects an important part of what we are building: a product designed not just around an idea, but around the practical needs of businesses and media owners. As we grow, we remain focused on building the right team, technology, and operational capabilities to turn our vision into a scalable business.
The $`25,000 funding through the Ashesi Venture Incubator will support the next phase of Midiarack’s growth.
We are focused on strengthening our operations, expanding our production capabilities, and developing the infrastructure needed to serve more businesses and media partners. These investments will help us improve the customer experience while building a stronger foundation for sustainable growth.
Our approach is straightforward: invest in capabilities that solve real problems, improve execution, and create lasting value for the people who use our platform.
We are grateful to the Ashesi Venture Incubator for its support and for the opportunity to be part of Cohort 7.
Beyond the funding, we value the opportunity to learn, challenge our assumptions, strengthen our business, and prepare for the next stage of growth.
We are equally grateful to our customers, media partners, and everyone who has trusted Midiarack so far. Every transaction, conversation, and partnership has helped us better understand the market and sharpen our approach.
Building a business requires more than a compelling idea. It requires people willing to do the work, customers willing to trust you, and partners who help you move forward. This milestone belongs to everyone who has contributed to that journey.

Our mission remains the same: to empower African businesses to become global powerhouses by making marketing easier and more transparent.
Advertising across Africa still has significant room for improvement. Media discovery remains fragmented, booking can be cumbersome, and businesses need better ways to connect their marketing budgets with the audiences they want to reach.
We believe technology, better infrastructure, and a more connected media marketplace can help change that. The `$25,000 funding is an important step forward. What matters most now is what we build with it.
Midiarack. Everything everywhere, right here. The future of advertising is ours to rethink.
